At this point, it’s unlikely that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will ever get made. More recently, the studio had worked on the previously-mentioned Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy.Ĭurrently, Vicarious Visions- now known as Blizzard Albany-has been working on supporting Blizzard’s games, with Diablo 2: Resurrected being its most recent release. The developer of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, Vicarious Visions, was reassigned within Activision Blizzard, and it will now be focusing entirely on existing Blizzard games.

The studio had made name for itself with its work on ports and remakes, going as far back as the Gameboy Advance, where the studio worked on a well-praised port of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, and more recently even the PC version of Destiny 2. Tony Hawk claims Activision canceled a Pro Skater 3 and 4 remaster Kyle Campbell J1:06 pm ET Following the immense success of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2, Vicarious Visions was planning. Despite the game's success, it seems there won't be any more Pro Skater remakes, including a potential Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4. Since its merger with Blizzard, Vicarious Visions has had a hand in developing the critically-acclaimed remaster of Diablo 2- Diablo 2: Resurrected-back in September 2021. Tony Hawk revealed this information on voice chat with Twitch streamer andyTHPS while playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. Unfortunately, plans for a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 have been cancelled since developer Vicarious Visions got folded into Blizzard. While Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was a faithful remake of the original two Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, there was reportedly another remake in the works that would include Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4. Hawk added that Activision planned to make a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 even after Vicarious Visions’ transition to Blizzard, but the publisher couldn’t make it happen.
